something very Australian for Australia Day yesterday hot on the heels of the overwhelmingly successful Wilshire Street Noise, a tour through the brand-new comprehensive M squared archival four CD release called Terrace Industry. Part one of a two-part M squared special with label founders the 2M’s, Mitch Jones And Michael Tee. Good morning Michael and Mitch and welcome back to background noise. M squared studio and label  was the central focus for a vibrant Sydney post punk scene from 1980 to 1983 in which they released 24 vinyl and seven cassettes. They have been called famously by Michael tee the builders labourers of the avant-garde. It was a real cottage industry. This milestone release has 81 tracks and most on CD for the first time.  The music was post punk Avant Rock and pop. Mitch and Michael will be choosing tracks and sharing rare insights into the recordings.
